With nearly 20 years of experience in counseling, I view the therapeutic relationship as something deeply personal and meaningful. I honor your life choices and am here to support you in reconnecting with your inner wisdom and sense of guidance.

I hold a degree in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master's in Counseling from UNC Charlotte. Early in my career, I worked with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, providing trauma-focused therapy. In 2008, I moved into private practice, seeking a more personal and connected approach to the work. That same year, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training, recognizing the importance of integrating the mind and body in healing.

I am a certified Level 2 Trauma-Conscious Yoga Therapist, trained in evidence-based approaches that help regulate the nervous system and support holistic wellbeing. I am also a Level 1 iRest practitioner. iRest is a meditation practice rooted in the tradition of Yoga Nidra, offering tools to help you meet each moment with steadiness, clarity, and resilience, even during difficult times.

In addition, I have completed both Level 1 and Level 2 training in Resilience and Trauma Recovery. My experience teaching yoga includes work in studios, eating disorder treatment centers, and grief and loss programs. My own personal yoga and meditation practice continues to be a steady foundation in both my life and work, helping me stay grounded, connected, and open.

On a personal note, my husband and I moved to Asheville in 2013 with the intention of living closer to nature and embracing a slower, more intentional pace. Our daughter and our sweet dog are our greatest teachers. I continue to practice the art of slowing down, being present, and offering myself patience and gratitude. Like all of us, I am still learning and growing.
